![]() Yes it does, I will try this! Maybe the ARC input will be slightly less delayed. Meaning you can have audio outputting over HDMI and Optical simultaneously. I would recommend using (if you can) HDMI ARC to connect the Smart Soundbar 300 to your TV (TV must have HDMI ARC slot) and then the optical to your receiver. Now this will depend again on the model of TV, but on some TV's the optical split is separate from the HDMI. I checked all configs of the splitter to make sure A wasn't coming through quicker than B for example, never know with these shitty splitters sometimes but again it happens without the splitter also when paired to google home devices. Any adjustments to the TV output would affect everything equally after it in the chain. TV audio delay wouldn't cause the delay that the Bose experiences when the SAME optical out is causing two different timings after being split. I know Samsung's can reduce the delay within the audio settings, but I think it may depend on the brand. If you still get the delay, definitely check if there are any audio delay settings in your TV settings. Both significantly different setups always have the Bose a step behind telling me the issue is in the Bose end of the chain not before it. ![]() As you're literally passing the Atmos audio through 3 devices from your PC > TV > Soundbar. I'm speculating this delay is caused by some additional processing happening from the TV to the soundbar via earc. It's anytime the audio going to the Bose is also sent somewhere else at the same time (TV or Music) either by splitting the optical or pairing with wifi speakers. The delay gets fixed when switching to either stereo, 5.1, or 7.1 surround sound on a PC. The delay is not from the TV picture to the audio of that picture, that's not an issue. (Any streaming to and from devices will introduce more delay) I would first check if you get the same delay when watching terrestrial TV (normal TV), with no optical splitter, directly into the Bose Soundbar.īasically, content native to the TV with as little changes as possible.
